After breakfast you will be escorted to the park headquarters to meet your guide. You will trek into the forest on the slopes of the volcanoes led by experienced trackers who will bring you close to the families of Mountain Gorillas. These massively gentle primates are extremely rare, with less than 690 remaining in the world. The trekking may be fairly strenuous, at relatively high-altitude. These animals are highly elusive and it is not a guarantee that they will be seen. However, with the assistance of our experienced guides, chances are high that you will see them. After this seemingly hectic day’s Gorilla trekking expedition, you may choose to embark on forest walks with the guide or just relax in the evening.
